JMEC open for applications and update on NCCJ scholarship

The Japan Market Expansion Competition (JMEC) program, which is supported by 17 Foreign Chambers of Commerce and trade organizations in Japan, including ourselves—is now open for applications from prospective new Participants and Project Clients. Since last year, the NCCJ provides a scholarship for JMEC participants of NCCJ member companies.

Endorsement Viewpoint on Marriage Equality

The Netherlands Chamber of Commerce in Japan (NCCJ) supports the Viewpoint from the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) that calls on the Japanese government to legalize same-sex marriage. Doing so, we believe, would remove certain handicaps faced by companies doing business in Japan in attracting and retaining talent and in treating the full diversity of their workforce equitably, which are foundational elements of a work environment conducive of maximum productivity.
