On the 16^th of June 2021, the agenda items of the NCCJ 2020 email based Annual General Meeting were formally resolved by a majority of the votes.

On Monday the 14th of June 2021, the TeamNL Tokyo Expo was opened. The NCCJ had the opportunity to present the Deshima Business Awards to the winners. The video of the opening event can be found here. The Deshima Business Awards part starts from 12:30.

2020 edition of biennial Deshima Business Awards for successful initiatives in Japan with a Dutch flavor. On Monday the 7th of June 2021, Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs Sigrid Kaag presented the Deshima Business Awards winners of 2020. During the official opening of the TEAM NL Expo, the online expo in the context of the Olympics, the Award in the category ‘newcomer” was presented to Mimetas and in the category ‘well-established’ Elsevier was awarded.

The NCCJ, with support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Japan, has set up a new working group on Diversity and Inclusion to learn more about how to create a more Diverse and Inclusive organization in Japan. Members of this working group will share best practices and challenges they are facing in creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace in Japan. Meetings will take place online, on a quarterly basis.
