Event Report: NCCJ Shinnenkai 2015 Jan. 21, 2015
2015年1月22日 15:38:51
NCCJ members and guests toasted the start of another new year at the chamber’s annual Shinnenkai New Year Aperitif on Jan. 21, at the Brasserie Va-tout in Roppongi.
The always-popular annual event was especially well-attended this year, possibly thanks to the chamber’s collaboration with the Holland Alumni Network Japan, an organization of former students at educational institutions in the Netherlands. This year 67 people attended the Shinnenkai, one of the best turnouts ever.
To start the proceedings, NCCJ Chairman Hans van der Tang gave a short speech, welcoming everyone back for the New Year, and gave a rundown on what to expect this year. Holland Alumni Network Chairwoman Ayumi Kimura then gave an introduction of herself and her organization, as did Marco Magnani, Events and Sponsorship Coordinator of the Tokyo chapter of the Run for the Cure Foundation, which is devoted to the eradication of breast cancer through education, screening and treatment. Lastly, the Dutch ambassador, His Excellency Radinck van Vollenhoven, gave a speech and offered a hearty kampai for a happy and prosperous 2015. There followed an hour or so informal session with drinks and food from the Brasserie Va-tout to meet, mingle and network.
