NCCJ-EBC Event: EU-Japan FTA/EPA Year-End Update
On December 10, The Netherlands Chamber of Commerce in Japan (NCCJ) and the European Business Council in Japan (EBC) co-organised an event that included presentations from EU Ambassador, H.E. Hans-Dietmar Schweisgut and the Head of Trade at the Delegation of the EU to Japan, Mr. Timo Hammaren, on EU –Japan relations and the latest progress in the EU-Japan Free Trade Agreement (FTA) / Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA).
This was followed by a presentation from EBC Chairman, Mr. Duco Delgorge on the role of the EBC in EU-Japan relations and its contribution to the FTA/EPA. This was the last EBC event in which Mr. Delgorge participated as the EBC chairman. Mr. Delgorge has stepped down due to increasing commitments overseas reducing his time in Japan.
