PwC Japan Tax recently joined our Chamber as a new member with Representative Arno Groenewoud. PwC Japan Tax is the largest tax firm in Japan. About half of its client base is foreign companies that invest in Japan and half is Japanese. Arno is Senior Manager and is responsible for supporting foreign companies in Japan with company establishment, restructuring, M&A and due diligence. Arno also assists Japanese companies with their operations in the Netherlands and Europe.

The Dutch government has identified nine top sectors which they plan to strengthen with the help of Dutch businesses and education & research. Approximately 1,5 billion euro has been made available to support this. Apart from targetted investments the government is also focused on identifying and solving bottle-necks impeding the growth of these sectors such as bothersome rules or lack of qualified personnel. The nine top sectors are: High Tech Material & Systems, Agro-Food, Water, Energy, Horticulture, Chemicals, Creative Industries, Logistics and Life Sciences.
