Please find here a visiting report to Yamada-machi that was partly destroyed by the tsunami. This covers the project that will build a Child Care and Play Centre with Elderly Bath Facility within 3 months (see the design here); it promotes that elderly who lost their home and children now living in emergency facilities assist each other under the initial guidance of UNICEF.

At the Joint Chamber Event "Giving Back to Japan; Relief and Reconstruction for Tohoku and Japan" organised by the NCCJ more than 200 participants from various European Chambers as well as the ACCJ, ANZCCJ and SACCJ raised Yen 675,000 for charity. This money has been divided by the NGO's participating in the event. The event was held in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Monday 25 April and was kindly sponsored by the hotel and Unilever.
